Privacy Policy

Routinely, by Kode Foundry · Effective 6 July 2026

This policy explains what Routinely collects, why, and the choices you have. We built Routinely to be forgiving with your habits and careful with your data. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we are

Routinely is operated by Kode Foundry. For any privacy question, email hello@kodefoundry.com.

Information we collect

  • Account, when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive an account identifier and your email address.
  • Profile you provide, optional details such as name, avatar, date of birth, gender, height, weight, and country.
  • Your habits, the routines, habits, check-ins, notes, and any photo proof you add.
  • Accountability, if you invite a partner, we store the email address you invite and share your progress and streaks with partners you accept.
  • Notifications, a device push token so we can send reminders and partner nudges.
  • Diagnostics, limited, aggregated technical data to keep the app reliable.

Apple Health

If you link a habit to Apple Health, Routinely reads the specific data you allow, such as steps, exercise minutes, mindful minutes, and sleep, only to automatically verify that habit. We never use Health data for advertising and we never sell it. Only the resulting check-in (that a habit was completed) is stored with your account. You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Payments & Commitment Mode

If you choose to put money on the line with an optional habit stake, payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe and processed by Stripe under their privacy policy; Routinely does not store your full card number. We keep a Stripe customer reference so a stake you set can be charged if you miss the habit. Subscriptions to Routinely Premium are handled by Apple through the App Store.

How we use your information

  • To run the app, save your habits and sync them across your devices.
  • To send the reminders, nudges, and summaries you enable.
  • To provide accountability features with partners you choose.
  • To process optional stakes you configure.
  • To keep Routinely secure, reliable, and improved.

Service providers

We use trusted processors to run Routinely: Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, and push messaging), Stripe (payments), and Apple (sign-in and push delivery). Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Sharing

We share your progress only with the accountability partners you personally invite and accept. We do not sell your personal information or share it for third-party advertising.

Your choices & rights

You can access and edit your profile in the app, revoke Health access in iOS Settings, and delete your account and data from within the app at any time. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, email hello@kodefoundry.com and we will help.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. We protect data with encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

Children

Routinely is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Commitment Mode (real-money stakes) is available only to users 18 and older.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
